Our Handmade Dining Table
Last year, a relative of my husband's posted a photo of her birthday gift from her husband, a gorgeous handmade harvest table. I was in love with it and almost immediately began searching Pinterest so that my husband could build us one of our own. On Pinterest, they're known by the majority as "farmhouse tables".
A few of my favorite styles:

To my surprise my husband liked many of the styles I picked out! It's rare that we agree on any of my Pinterest favorites. He likes plain, modern decor and furniture styles, I like non-modern, colorful, bold styles, like HERE.
So anyways, months later, unbeknownst to me, he had been looking up table plans on Ana-White.com and after he found "the one", he went out and bought all the wood and and everything else we needed.

My son loves working with his father.
FYI: Family and friends, the huge photo many of you have seen is for sale!! Text me. I'll send more pictures and a nice price :-) It's 5 years old and in perfect condition.
We've been using folding chairs for the kids to sit. I've been waiting on a bench for months now (since the table was finished), doesn't look like I'll be getting it any time soon so I decided to take matters into my own hands :-). I'm planning to do something similar to this when I find worthy craigslist or thrifted chairs:
