Ladies, Do You Help Your Significant Other With Yard Work?

Happy Monday! I hope your day is going well so far. I’m back into another work week after a busy, but fun weekend. I clocked in bright and early at 7:30 a.m. Thankfully, I work from home so it’s not too bad considering I’m not a morning person whatsoever.

I’m on break relaxing now, typing away while my husband mow’s the grass. His work schedule varies so some days he’s able to come home for a few hours in between clients or end his workday early. Speaking of mowing the grass, I’m curious- married or single individuals, do you help with the house (other than cleaning) or yard work? Do you hire it out, do it yourself, or leave it all up to your significant other?

As for me and my spouse, I help him with the yard work [key word] sometimes. I won’t pretend to be “wifey all-mighty” like I’m always up for the task because I most definitely am not, however, I’m more of a hands-on kinda woman so I don’t mind getting my hands dirty for the most part. My husband has taught me a lot over these past 12 years; he taught me how to use his zero-turn riding mower, miter saw, and airless paint sprayer just to name a few. I’ve built a couple of custom closets on my own after he told me “not now, maybe later” too. 

For me, personally, it feels good to give my husband the satisfaction of knowing his woman will get down and dirty with him [in more ways than one] when necessary... As long as he helps with dinner from time to time, haha. It’s all about balance, right?
