Vintage Blue Buffet Cabinet & Inspiration Photos
Hey ladies! So, I recently purchased a buffet/serving cabinet from craigslist. The original asking price was $129 and it's most definitely not worth that much. I can buy one brand new for that much from Target, Kirkland's, or HomeGoods. I got a good deal at $40. It's in great condition, it's solid wood and very heavy, but the paint job is not so good. I knew instantly that I would change the color when I got it, but I was hoping that I would be able to sand over the existing color and paint it. Didn't go as planned...
When I brought it home I noticed some chipped areas and realized that it had not been sanded or primed before it was painted. The paint peeled off very easily in many spots and the wood underneath looked close to perfect. And as you will see, the paint job could be better...

I'm not a fan of the color so I plan to paint it an off-white, cream color with gold or black handles. My husband just purchased paint stripper for me so I'll get started on that this week sometime.
|I was hoping my husband would get the memo.|
He did not.

I'm not 100% sure where I want to place it, but it will NOT be placed in the spot you see on these photos, upon completion. My dining room doesn't need it so I'm thinking about moving it into our hallway for extra storage.
I'm highly inspired by the gorgeous photos below.
