“What is some of the best marriage/relationship advice you have ever received?”
I have been given a lot of great marital advice, but these are some of my top favorites:
"Apologize, whether you are or are not at fault."
Ladies, although we're never wrong we shouldn’t wait for our husband/boyfriend/fiance to apologize first. Mending the situation without holding a grudge (we would never!) relieves the tension and allows us to get back to loving each other and enjoying our day stress-free.
"Compete to be the best spouse, not the worst."
Sometimes couples get angry and try to provoke one another or hurt each other with words and/or deeds, but it takes strength and integrity to do what's right and hold your tongue and express yourself to your lover without being hurtful.
Women respect your husband. Men, love your wife and be understanding. (Bible)
Another I want to add is HAVE FUN!!
Don't be so uptight and serious and boring all the time. Have a sense of humor. Don't be afraid to laugh and be silly around your significant other. It's been scientifically proven that laughing relieves stress, so there you have it!
There's so much more advice that can be shared so feel free to add on to the list in the comments! ;-)
